The Water sector in Zambia has gone through a chief transformation geared toward making it extra responsive to the changing needs and issues of the customers and most of the people.
Nkana Water & Sewerage agency (NWSC) became included in 1998 to provide water and sewerage offerings in the urban and peri urban areas of Kitwe, Kalulushi and Chambishi and is at the same time owned via Kitwe city Council and Kalulushi Municipal Council. The employer was set up below the Water deliver and Sanitation Act No. 28 of 1997.
