Description
Seasonal camp walking 01 June - 01 November. Shumba way ‘lion’ – the ideal name for a camp placed within the midst of numerous lion pride territories. Indeed, the felines are known for their tree-mountain climbing capabilities, and prey on the plethora of herbivores that frequent the Busanga Plains on which Shumba is situated. From the raised decks, the view is panoramic and regularly packed with grazing puku and lechwe; floodplain grasses stretch to the horizon, interrupted best by means of isolated protrusions of fig and palm trees. Subsequently, there may be no higher vantage point from which to take in the Plains’ giant remoteness than from a hot air balloon. • 6 tents (1 own family) • sport drives • seasonal boating • hot air ballooning
