Tourism Council of Zambia

INTRODUCTION
The Tourism Council of Zambia (TCZ) is a membership-based not-a for-profit intermediary organisation for the tourism enterprises and associations in Zambia. The Council was established in 1997 to coordinate the activities of the private sector in the tourism industry. TCZ's main activities are anchored on its mandate which is to drive the growth of the tourism industry by influencing Government policy in favour of the sector.
Tourism Council of Zambia (TCZ) is a private sector membership-driven intermediary organization established under the Registrar of Societies Act of the Laws of Zambia. TCZ was established in 1997.
TCZ has three types of memberships namely association membership and corporate membership.

Corporate members are individual tourism enterprises that relatively bigger and directly affiliate with TCZ
Association membership- is where a tourism association chooses to become a member of TCZ.

Voluntary Membership: The third type of membership includes individuals or any company that has an interest in the tourism business.

Membership to the TCZ is voluntary and enhances policy advocacy as it provides a single voice for the private sector in the tourism sector.
