The Judiciary of Zambia is an impartial arm of the authorities. Under clause 118 (2) of the constitution, in exercise judicial authority, the courts will be guided through the following ideas:
(a) justice will be finished to all, with out discrimination;
(b) justice shall not be behind schedule;
(c) adequate repayment shall be provided, where payable;
(d) alternative sorts of dispute decision, which includes conventional dispute decision mechanisms, will be promoted, situation to clause (3);
(e) justice shall be administered with out undue regard to procedural technicalities; and
(f) the values and standards of this charter shall be protected and promoted.
